Millennial Home Buyer Tips
Millennial home buyers tip #1 – “A Wish List”: Look for a home that fills your wish list – maybe something with an open floor plan. You may prefer a split floor plan. Both offer great options especially if it’s a home that comes with a media room option. You also might be looking for hardwood or tile floors. The list goes on…
To be honest, many times it’s hard to find that “perfect first home”, especially one that has everything. My suggestion – find one that has most of what’s on your wish list, but with options to include or add the others later….
Millennial home buyers tip #2 – “The Neighborhood”: Keep in mind the location. How easy is it to get from point A to point B with the least amount of distractions and obstacles. Pay attention to the proximity of the home to highways, shopping centers, hospitals, schools, etc. Knowing your new home is conveniently located can make a BIG difference!
Millennial home buyers tip #3 – “Green Friendly”: If it’s a newly built home you’re looking for, you may want something that has “environmentally-friendly” features. Many builders today are using eco-friendly materials and products in new homes.
If it’s an older home you are buying, you may just want to update maybe items like the windows for better insulation which will also improve the look of the home.
